" Chateau Jolene" is a designer-decorated chalet in the heart of Massanutten with a deck that is second-to-none, complete with a brand new hot tub, cedar barrel sauna, fire table, dining for 10, and views of the mountain ridge. Inside, you'll love the modern treehouse feel of the light-drenched great room and the fully equipped kitchen with new appliances. Bedrooms are spacious and modern, including the master with great views from the wall of windows. Also, pet friendly!

We don't live in the area, but have local contacts who can help should anything go wrong.
We are located on a quiet neighborhood street in Massanutten. Some of the nearby houses are short term rentals, others are lived in year-round. Please respect our neighbors! All the activities and amenities of Massanutten are just a few minutes' drive away. Also, there are many fantastic wineries, breweries, and restaurants in the area. The closest city is Harrisonburg, just 25 minutes away. Massanutten is 2 hours from both DC/ Northern VA and from Richmond.
You'll definitely want your own vehicle to get around. There is driveway parking for 5-6 vehicles.
- Chateau Jolene is pet friendly! There is a $100 total pet fee for your visit, which will cover up to 4 pets (please indicate how many pets you are bringing in the "guests" section). The back deck is fully gated so your furry friends can enjoy the space alongside you, and we provide some helpful supplies for pet-owners.
- We provide our guests $1500 of coverage for accidental damage to the property or its contents. The cost of this is already embedded in the cleaning fee.
- Massanutten offers hiking, skiing, snowboarding, tubing, swimming, ropes course, golfing, and much more. There is also an indoor / outdoor water park that is open year-round. Shenandoah National Park is 15 minutes away, as are fantastic restaurants, breweries, and wineries.
- The property has a large, flat, circular driveway that can accommodate 5-6 vehicles.
- Wifi is fast with a strong signal throughout the house and deck. Each bedroom, plus the great room, features a smart TV where you can access all the main streaming services.
- We provide a fully stocked coffee bar with multiple coffee drip and Keurig options
- Guests can enjoy community pool access in the summer season ($6 per-person additional fee is required)

- Note that this home has a wood-burning fireplace, which we DO allow guests to use (some other rental homes in the area don't allow fireplace usage). If you are particularly sensitive to the smell of a fireplace, consider booking another property.

This home is part of the Massanutten Property Owners Association (MPOA) and is governed by its rules and regulations, as well as federal and state laws and local ordinances. There are short-term rentals in all MPOA neighborhoods, but people also live here. Your nearby neighbors may be full-time residents, including families with children, retirees, or owners of second homes enjoying their retreat. Please respect their privacy and property rights, along with those of other guests in our private residential community.
NOISE
Noise that is unreasonable in the judgement of MPOA or its designated agent is prohibited at any time. Quiet Hours are between 10PM and 7AM.
PARKING
All tires must be off the roadway. DO NOT BLOCK FIRE HYDRANTS! Our private neighborhood roads are “highways” for law enforcement purposes per Rockingham County ordinance.
Do not park adjacent to any other homes or lots unless this home’s owner or property manager has told you he/she has explicit permission for you to do so.
Parking rules violators may be subject to having their vehicles towed.
If you cannot park all your vehicles on this property or on the adjoining shoulder of the road, overflow parking is available at the MPOA Owners’ Swimming Pool parking lot at 4007 Peak Drive.
NOTE: Buses, campers, and RV’s may not be parked at houses or along neighborhood roads. With prior MPOA approval, they may be parked in the overflow lot during your stay.

Open containers of alcohol are prohibited on any road or common area.
PETS
Pets are not allowed to run at large. They must be leashed at all times when off this property.
